Kelleher & Sadowsky

Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates, Inc. was founded in 1981 by Bill Kelleher and Harold Sadowsky.

The two had both been engaged in downtown Worcester retail businesses prior to pursuing real estate sales in the mid to late 1970's

Bill, a 1964 Boston College graduate, was a member of the family operating American Supply Company, which had 6 furniture stores in various Massachusetts locations. Back then his focus was directed to sales and marketing as well as management of the properties owned by the company. It was during his 10 years there that he developed a strong interest in real estate.

Harold, a 1957 Harvard University graduate was owner of Palley Office Supply Company, which, prior to its sale in 1974, was the dominant office furniture and supplies firm in Worcester County . Immediately thereafter, he relocated to New York City where he held a seat on the American Stock Exchange. Drawn back to his hometown in 1978 by his close family ties and his desire to return to Worcester to pursue a career in real estate, with his newly acquired friend, Bill, in an area real estate company.

In 1981 the two incorporated their own company, Kelleher & Sadowsky Associates, Inc. with one fundamental goal in mind: to develop a team of full time specialists to handle the commercial and industrial needs of the Central Massachusetts area.

1981 marked another milestone in the company's history: that was the year John McKinley (now a Principal and President of Kelleher & Sadowsky), recently graduated from Bentley College and joined the company.

It was two years later that Jim Umphrey (now a Principal and Senior Executive Vice President of Kelleher & Sadowsky), came aboard after graduating from the University of Massachusetts .

Bill, Harold, John and Jim went forward on their mission to build the finest Commercial Industrial firm in Central Massachusetts -bar none.

The four men carefully cultivated their personal contacts, marketed to attract others unknown to them, and endeavored to provide better services and capabilities than any of their competitors. In addition, they cultivated professional relationships with brokers from outside Worcester County ( Boston and other Northeast U.S. cities), which resulted in numerous referrals to and from these areas.

Over the years they, and the real estate sales people associated with them, achieved notoriety for the size and number of successful transactions they completed, in addition to the enviable reputation for total integrity they built and maintained. Today with a staff of ten full time agents (the largest in Central Massachusetts) with 125 years of cumulative experience in the field, their qualifications are unmatched by anyone in Central Massachusetts.
